Show the model answer
(a) God would give them the land He promised (Joshua 1:2-3).
Every place the sole of their foot would tread would be theirs, from the wilderness to the Euphrates and the Great Sea (Joshua 1:3-4).
No man would be able to stand before him all his life (Joshua 1:5).
As God was with Moses, so He would be with Joshua (Joshua 1:5).
He would not fail him or forsake him (Joshua 1:5).
Joshua would cause the people to inherit the land (Joshua 1:6).
If he obeyed the law he would prosper and have good success (Joshua 1:7-8).
The Lord would be with him wherever he went (Joshua 1:9).
(b) Any three: builds trust and credibility; promotes peace and good relationships; brings respect; reflects God's faithfulness; encourages others to be faithful; avoids conflict.
Use Joshua 1:1-9, then three benefits.
