Model answer

(a) Ahab sulked because Naboth refused to give up his vineyard (1 Kings 21:1-4).
Jezebel asked why he was sad and mocked him: "Do you now govern Israel?" (1 Kings 21:5-7).
She promised to give him the vineyard (1 Kings 21:7).
She wrote letters in Ahab's name, sealed with his seal, to the elders and nobles of Naboth's city (1 Kings 21:8).
She told them to proclaim a fast, set Naboth on high and set two base fellows to accuse him of cursing God and the king (1 Kings 21:9-10).
They did so; Naboth was taken out and stoned to death (1 Kings 21:11-13).
They reported to Jezebel, who told Ahab to take possession of the vineyard (1 Kings 21:14-16).
Elijah announced dogs would eat Jezebel (1 Kings 21:23).
(b) Any three: love of money and materialism; poverty and insecurity; envy of others; lack of contentment; peer pressure; lack of fear of God.

Explanation

Narrate 1 Kings 21:1-16, then three reasons.
