Model answer

(a) Seeing it pleased the Jews, Herod arrested Peter during the days of Unleavened Bread (Acts 12:3).
He put him in prison under four squads of soldiers, intending to bring him out after Passover (Acts 12:4).
The church prayed earnestly for him (Acts 12:5).
An angel woke Peter, his chains fell off and he was led past the guards through the iron gate (Acts 12:6-10).
Peter went to Mary's house where many were praying; Rhoda announced him (Acts 12:12-16).
He told them what happened and left for another place (Acts 12:17).
Herod searched for him and had the guards executed (Acts 12:18-19).
At Caesarea Herod accepted worship as a god; an angel struck him and he was eaten by worms and died (Acts 12:20-23).
The word of God grew and multiplied (Acts 12:24).
(b) Any three: trouble and persecution; sickness; gratitude to God; need for guidance; love for God; concern for others; Christ's example and command.
