Model answer

(a) Moses is dead; arise, go over the Jordan with all the people into the land God gives them (Joshua 1:2).
Every place the sole of your foot treads I have given you; the borders were described (Joshua 1:3-4).
No man shall stand before you; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail or forsake you (Joshua 1:5).
Be strong and of good courage, for you shall cause the people to inherit the land (Joshua 1:6).
Be careful to do all the law Moses commanded; turn not to the right or the left (Joshua 1:7).
The book of the law shall not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night; then you will prosper (Joshua 1:8).
Do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
(b) Any three: depend on God; obey the law; be courageous; be committed and diligent; consult God's word; unite the people; keep promises.

Explanation

Use Joshua 1:1-9, then three lessons.
