Show the model answer
(a) John the Baptist preached repentance in the wilderness of Judea and baptised in the Jordan (Matthew 3:1-6).
He said one mightier was coming who would baptise with the Holy Spirit and fire (Matthew 3:11).
Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John (Matthew 3:13).
John tried to prevent Him: "I need to be baptized by you" (Matthew 3:14).
Jesus said, "Let it be so now; it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness" (Matthew 3:15).
When He came up from the water the heavens opened and the Spirit descended like a dove (Matthew 3:16).
A voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17).
(b) Any four: repentance; faith in Christ; baptism; regular prayer; Bible study; fellowship with other believers; obedience and holy living; service in the church.
Narrate Matthew 3, then four steps.
