Model answer

(a) Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to King Jeroboam that Amos had conspired against him (Amos 7:10).
He reported Amos as saying Jeroboam would die by the sword and Israel go into exile (Amos 7:11).
Amaziah told Amos, "O seer, go, flee away to the land of Judah, and eat bread there, and prophesy there" (Amos 7:12).
"Never again prophesy at Bethel, for it is the king's sanctuary" (Amos 7:13).
Amos replied he was no prophet nor a prophet's son, but a herdsman and dresser of sycamore trees (Amos 7:14).
The Lord took him from following the flock and sent him to Israel (Amos 7:15).
He prophesied Amaziah's wife would be a harlot, his children killed, his land divided, and he would die in an unclean land (Amos 7:16-17).
Israel would surely go into exile (Amos 7:17).
(b) Any three: bribery and corruption; oppression of the poor; cheating in trade; drug abuse; cultism; ritual killing; exam malpractice; immorality.

Explanation

Narrate Amos 7:10-17, then three practices.
