Show the model answer
(a) The Macedonians, in severe affliction and poverty, gave generously beyond their means (2 Corinthians 8:1-4).
They first gave themselves to the Lord (2 Corinthians 8:5).
Christ, though rich, became poor so that we might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).
Giving is acceptable according to what one has (2 Corinthians 8:12).
The aim is fairness: abundance supplies others' need (2 Corinthians 8:13-15).
Whoever sows sparingly reaps sparingly; whoever sows bountifully reaps bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6).
Each should give as he decides in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
God will supply and multiply the giver's resources (2 Corinthians 9:8-10).
Giving meets the needs of the saints and produces thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:12-13).
Set aside something on the first day of every week (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).
(b) Any two: God blesses and provides for the giver; receivers' needs are met; it produces thanksgiving and glory to God; it builds love and fellowship; it strengthens the church's work.
Use 2 Corinthians 8–9, then two benefits.
