Show the model answer
(a) There are varieties of gifts but the same Spirit; each is given for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:4-7).
The Spirit apportions gifts as He wills; no one has all gifts (1 Corinthians 12:11, 29-30).
All members are one body and need one another; none should feel superior or inferior (1 Corinthians 12:12-26).
Desire the higher gifts, but love is the more excellent way; without love gifts are nothing (1 Corinthians 12:31; 13:1-3).
Prophecy builds up the church more than tongues, so seek gifts that edify (1 Corinthians 14:1-5, 12).
Tongues in church must be interpreted; at most two or three, in turn (1 Corinthians 14:13, 27-28).
Prophets should speak in turn and others weigh what is said (1 Corinthians 14:29-32).
All things should be done decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40).
Use gifts according to the grace given, with sober judgement (Romans 12:3-8).
(b) Any three: using gifts for money or personal gain; pride and showing off; false prophecy to frighten people; causing disorder in worship; competition and division; using gifts to deceive or exploit.
Explain Paul's counsel from 1 Corinthians 12–14, then three misuses.
