Show the model answer
(a) After the tenth plague Pharaoh let Israel go; they left at night with flocks and Egyptian silver and gold (Exodus 12:29-36).
God led them by the wilderness road, in a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night (Exodus 13:17-22).
Pharaoh changed his mind and pursued with 600 chariots, overtaking them by the sea at Pi-hahiroth (Exodus 14:5-9).
The people were afraid and complained; Moses said, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord" (Exodus 14:10-14).
The angel and the cloud moved behind Israel, keeping the armies apart (Exodus 14:19-20).
Moses stretched out his hand; a strong east wind divided the sea and Israel crossed on dry ground (Exodus 14:21-22).
The Egyptians followed; God clogged their chariot wheels and they panicked (Exodus 14:23-25).
Moses stretched out his hand again; the waters returned and drowned the whole army (Exodus 14:26-28).
Israel feared the Lord, believed in Him and Moses, and sang praise (Exodus 14:31; 15:1-21).
(b) Any two: deliverance from slavery; proof of God's power and faithfulness; birth of Israel as a free nation; it is remembered at the Passover; it increased their faith in God and Moses.
Narrate Exodus 12–14, then two points.
