Model answer

(a) He would make Abram a great nation, bless him and make his name great (Genesis 12:2).
He would bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him; in him all families of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 12:3).
The land of Canaan would be given to his descendants (Genesis 12:7; 15:18-21).
His descendants would be as many as the stars (Genesis 15:5).
His descendants would be slaves for 400 years but come out with great possessions (Genesis 15:13-14).
He would be the father of a multitude of nations; his name was changed to Abraham; kings would come from him (Genesis 17:4-6).
God would be God to him and his descendants in an everlasting covenant (Genesis 17:7-8).
Sarah would bear a son, Isaac, with whom the covenant would continue (Genesis 17:16-21).
Circumcision was the sign of the covenant (Genesis 17:10-11).
(b) Any three: God keeps His promises; Christians are Abraham's offspring by faith and heirs of the promise (Galatians 3:7, 29); the blessing to all nations came through Christ; faith is the way to receive God's promises; obedience brings blessing; God's people bear a mark of belonging (circumcision of the heart, Romans 2:29).

Explanation

List the promises from Genesis 12, 15 and 17, then three points.
