Model answer

(a) Jesus came to the country of the Gerasenes; a man with an unclean spirit met Him from the tombs (Mark 5:1-2).
He lived among the tombs; no one could bind him even with chains; he cried out and cut himself with stones (Mark 5:3-5).
He ran and worshipped Jesus, crying, "What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?" (Mark 5:6-7).
Jesus had said, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!" and asked his name: "Legion; for we are many" (Mark 5:8-9).
The demons begged not to be sent out of the country but into the great herd of swine nearby (Mark 5:10-12).
Jesus gave them leave; they entered the swine, about two thousand, which rushed into the sea and drowned (Mark 5:13).
People found the man clothed and in his right mind; they were afraid and begged Jesus to leave (Mark 5:15-17).
Jesus told the man to go home and tell how much the Lord had done for him (Mark 5:19-20).
(b) Any two: the demons begged to go into them; to show the man and the people that the demons had truly left him; to show the destructive power of evil spirits; to show a man is worth more than animals; to test the people's values.

Explanation

Narrate Mark 5:1-20, then two reasons.
