Model answer

(a)(i) Treasures: do not lay up treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and thieves steal; lay up treasures in heaven where they are safe; where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:19-21).
(ii) The sound eye: the eye is the lamp of the body; if your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light; if it is not sound, your whole body will be full of darkness; how great is that darkness (Matthew 6:22-23).
(iii) Two masters: no one can serve two masters; he will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other; you cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24).
(b) Any two: corruption and embezzlement deprive people of development; widens the gap between rich and poor, causing unrest and crime; waste of resources leads to poverty and debt; love of money leads leaders to injustice and bribery; neglect of the needy; materialism destroys moral values.

Explanation

Explain Matthew 6:19-24 under the three headings, then two reasons.
