(a) What did Paul teach the Philippians about humility? (b) Highlight two ways by which a Christian could manifest the spirit of humility

Show the model answer
Model answer

(a) Be of one mind and one love (Philippians 2:2).
Do nothing from selfishness or conceit; in humility count others better than yourselves (Philippians 2:3).
Look also to the interests of others (Philippians 2:4).
Have the mind of Christ, who did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped (Philippians 2:5-6).
He emptied Himself, took the form of a servant and was born in human likeness (Philippians 2:7).
He humbled Himself and was obedient unto death on a cross (Philippians 2:8).
Therefore God highly exalted Him; every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11).
(b) Any two: serving others willingly; respecting everyone regardless of status; not boasting about wealth or position; accepting correction; obeying authority; putting others first.

Explanation

Explain Philippians 2:1-11, then two ways.
