Question 32

Mensuration of Plane Shapes

The angle of a sector of a circle is 108°. If the radius of the circle is 3½cm, find the perimeter of the sector

  1. A.6 3/5cm
  2. B.6 4/5cm
  3. C.7 1/10cm
  4. D.10 2/5cm
  5. E.13 3/5cm.
Show the answer and explanation

Answer: E (13 3/5cm.)

Explanation

Arc = 108/360 × 2 × 22/7 × 3.5 = 6.6 cm. Perimeter = 6.6 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 13.6 cm = 13 3/5 cm.
