Show the model answer
(a) Pressure group: an organised group of people with shared interests that tries to influence government policy without seeking to take over government. Public opinion: the views or attitudes held by a large part of the public on an issue of public concern.
(b) Any four, examined: influence policy in favour of members and the public; educate and mobilise citizens; check government and hold it accountable; defend human rights and rule of law; serve as a link between government and people; provide expert advice; monitor elections; give voice to minorities and interests.
Define both terms; then four roles.
