(b) Very expensive fares and freight; cannot carry very bulky/heavy goods cheaply; affected by bad weather; accidents are usually fatal; airports are costly and need much land; noise pollution; hijacking.
(c) Subsidies and competition to reduce fares; bigger cargo planes; modern navigation and weather equipment; training of crew and maintenance; tighter security.
