Judas agreed to betray Him for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14-16).
He was arrested in Gethsemane (Matthew 26:47-56).
Before Caiaphas false witnesses testified; Jesus said He was the Christ; the high priest declared blasphemy and they condemned Him (Matthew 26:59-66).
The council delivered Him to Pilate, accusing Him of perverting the nation, forbidding tribute and claiming to be king (Matthew 27:1-2; Luke 23:2).
Pilate found no crime and sent Him to Herod, who mocked Him and sent Him back (Luke 23:4-12).
The crowd, stirred by the chief priests, chose Barabbas and cried "Crucify him!" (Matthew 27:20-23).
Pilate washed his hands, released Barabbas, scourged Jesus and handed Him over to be crucified (Matthew 27:24-26).
(b) Any three: peace and stability; trust in government; protection of rights; economic growth and investment; reduction of crime; national unity.
