(a) Josiah was killed by Pharaoh Neco at Megiddo (2 Kings 23:29-30).
The people made his son Jehoahaz king; he reigned three months and did evil (2 Kings 23:30-32).
Neco imprisoned him at Riblah, took him to Egypt and imposed tribute on Judah (2 Kings 23:33-34).
Neco made Eliakim king, renaming him Jehoiakim; he taxed the land to pay Pharaoh and did evil (2 Kings 23:34-37).
Nebuchadnezzar came up; Jehoiakim served him three years, then rebelled (2 Kings 24:1).
The Lord sent Chaldean, Syrian, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against Judah for Manasseh's sins (2 Kings 24:2-4).
Jehoiakim died; Jehoiachin reigned three months and did evil (2 Kings 24:6-9).
Babylon besieged Jerusalem; Jehoiachin surrendered (2 Kings 24:10-12).
Nebuchadnezzar carried off the treasures, the king, officials, warriors and craftsmen — ten thousand captives — to Babylon (2 Kings 24:13-16).
(b) Any four: bad governance and corruption; poverty and unemployment; injustice; ethnic and religious conflicts; election rigging; human-rights abuses; foreign interference.
Narrate 2 Kings 23:29–24:16, then four causes.
