Show the model answer
(a) Peter asked how often to forgive; Jesus said seventy times seven (Matthew 18:21-22).
He told of a king settling accounts; a servant owed ten thousand talents and could not pay (Matthew 18:23-24).
The king ordered him, his family and goods sold (Matthew 18:25).
The servant begged for patience; the king pitied him and forgave the whole debt (Matthew 18:26-27).
That servant found a fellow servant who owed him a hundred denarii, seized him by the throat and demanded payment (Matthew 18:28).
The fellow servant begged, but he threw him into prison (Matthew 18:29-30).
Other servants told the king, who called him "You wicked servant!" (Matthew 18:31-32).
He should have had mercy as he received mercy; the king delivered him to the jailers (Matthew 18:33-34).
So the Father will do to those who do not forgive from the heart (Matthew 18:35).
(b) Any three: pride; deep hurt; desire for revenge; fear of being hurt again; lack of love; no apology from the offender; bad advice.
Narrate Matthew 18:21-35, then three reasons.
