He sent Hilkiah and others to inquire of the Lord, fearing God's wrath (2 Kings 22:12-13).
They consulted Huldah the prophetess (2 Kings 22:14-20).
He gathered the elders and people and read the whole book to them in the temple (2 Kings 23:1-2).
He made a covenant to keep God's commandments, and the people joined (2 Kings 23:3).
He removed the vessels of Baal and Asherah, deposed idolatrous priests, broke down the cult prostitutes' houses and defiled the high places and Topheth (2 Kings 23:4-14).
He destroyed the altar at Bethel (2 Kings 23:15).
He kept the Passover (2 Kings 23:21-23).
He put away mediums, wizards and idols (2 Kings 23:24).
