Model answer

(a) The crowd pressed on Jesus by the lake of Gennesaret to hear God's word (Luke 5:1).
He saw two boats; the fishermen were washing their nets (Luke 5:2).
He got into Simon's boat and taught the people from it (Luke 5:3).
He told Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets" (Luke 5:4).
Simon said they had toiled all night and caught nothing, but at His word he would (Luke 5:5).
They caught so many fish the nets began to break; they filled both boats till they began to sink (Luke 5:6-7).
Simon fell at Jesus' knees: "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord" (Luke 5:8).
James and John were also astonished (Luke 5:9-10).
Jesus said, "Do not be afraid; henceforth you will be catching men"; they left everything and followed Him (Luke 5:10-11).
(b) Any three: love of money and pleasure; fear of persecution; bad company; family pressure; doubt; pride; bad example of some Christians.

Explanation
