Model answer

(a) Servants should be submissive with all respect, to the kind and gentle and also the overbearing (1 Peter 2:18).
It is credit before God to endure pain while suffering unjustly, mindful of God (1 Peter 2:19).
There is no credit in enduring punishment for doing wrong; suffering for doing right is approved by God (1 Peter 2:20).
Christians are called to this because Christ also suffered for them, leaving an example (1 Peter 2:21).
He committed no sin; when reviled He did not revile in return; He trusted God who judges justly (1 Peter 2:22-23).
He bore our sins so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (1 Peter 2:24).
Good conduct silences critics and leads others to glorify God (1 Peter 2:12, 15).
(b) Any three: patience; humility; honesty; love; obedience; self-control; forgiveness; diligence.

Explanation

Explain 1 Peter 2:18-24, then three virtues.
