Telling a needy brother "Go in peace" without helping is useless (James 2:15-16).
Faith by itself, without works, is dead (James 2:17).
"I by my works will show you my faith" (James 2:18).
Even demons believe and shudder (James 2:19).
Abraham was justified by works when he offered Isaac; faith was completed by works (James 2:21-22).
Rahab was justified by works (James 2:25).
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead (James 2:26).
(b) Any three: salvation and justification (Romans 5:1); answered prayer (James 5:15); strength in trials (James 1:3); pleasing God (Hebrews 11:6); peace and hope; healing.
