Model answer

(a) Pharaoh dreamed seven fat cows came up from the Nile and seven thin cows ate them (Genesis 41:1-4).
He dreamed again: seven full ears on one stalk were swallowed by seven thin ears blighted by the east wind (Genesis 41:5-7).
No magician could interpret them; the butler remembered Joseph, who was brought from prison (Genesis 41:8-14).
Joseph said God would answer: seven years of plenty, then seven years of famine; he advised storing grain (Genesis 41:16, 25-36).
(b) Any three: Joseph was freed and made ruler of Egypt (41:39-44); he received a royal wife and new name (41:45); he stored food and saved many lives (41:47-57); his brothers came to buy grain and were reconciled (Genesis 42–45); Jacob's family settled in Goshen (47:6); his own dreams were fulfilled (42:6).

Explanation

Narrate Genesis 41:1-36, then three effects.
