(a) By the Sea of Galilee Jesus called Simon and Andrew: "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men"; they left their nets (Mark 1:16-18).
He called James and John, who left their father Zebedee in the boat (Mark 1:19-20).
He called Levi (Matthew) from the tax office (Mark 2:14).
He went up on the mountain, prayed all night, and called to Him those He wanted (Mark 3:13; Luke 6:12-13).
He appointed twelve to be with Him, to be sent out to preach and to have authority to cast out demons (Mark 3:14-15).
The twelve: Simon Peter, James and John (Boanerges), Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananaean and Judas Iscariot (Mark 3:16-19).
(b) Any four: humility; honesty and integrity; service to others; prayerfulness; good example; courage; wisdom; love and care for the people; faithfulness.
Use Mark 1–3, then four qualities.
