Show the model answer
(a) As Jesus passed on, He saw a man called Matthew (Levi) sitting at the tax office (Matthew 9:9; Mark 2:14).
He said to him, "Follow me"; Matthew rose and followed Him, leaving everything (Matthew 9:9; Luke 5:27-28).
Levi made Jesus a great feast in his house with many tax collectors and sinners (Luke 5:29; Matthew 9:10).
The Pharisees asked the disciples why their teacher ate with tax collectors and sinners (Matthew 9:11).
Jesus said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick" (Matthew 9:12).
"Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice'" (Matthew 9:13).
"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners" to repentance (Matthew 9:13; Luke 5:32).
(b) Any three: Jesus calls everyone, including despised people; following Jesus requires leaving the old life; Christians should respond promptly to Christ's call; share Jesus with friends as Matthew did; do not despise sinners; God desires mercy.
Narrate Matthew 9:9-13, then three lessons.
