Model answer

(a) Show no partiality as you hold the faith of Jesus Christ (James 2:1).
If a rich man in fine clothes is given a good seat but a poor man in shabby clothes is told to stand, you have made distinctions and become judges with evil thoughts (James 2:2-4).
God chose the poor to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom (James 2:5).
Yet you dishonour the poor, while the rich oppress you and blaspheme Christ's name (James 2:6-7).
Fulfil the royal law: "love your neighbour as yourself" (James 2:8).
Partiality is sin; breaking one point makes one guilty of all (James 2:9-10).
Speak and act as those to be judged by the law of liberty; judgement is without mercy to the merciless (James 2:12-13).
(b) Any three: equal treatment before the law; appointments and admissions on merit; free and fair elections; equal access to education and health care; anti-discrimination laws; churches treating all members equally.

Explanation

Explain James 2:1-13, then three ways.
