Model answer

(a) Jesus returned to Capernaum; so many gathered that there was no room even at the door; He preached the word (Mark 2:1-2).
Four men brought a paralytic but could not get near because of the crowd (Mark 2:3-4).
They removed the roof and let down the pallet (Mark 2:4).
Seeing their faith, Jesus said, "My son, your sins are forgiven" (Mark 2:5).
Some scribes thought, "It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" (Mark 2:6-7).
Jesus asked which is easier, to forgive or to heal, so that they may know the Son of man has authority to forgive sins (Mark 2:8-10).
He said to the paralytic, "Rise, take up your pallet and go home"; he rose and went out before them all (Mark 2:11-12).
All were amazed and glorified God (Mark 2:12).
(b) Any three: faith brings salvation; faith brings healing and answers to prayer; we please God by faith (Hebrews 11:6); faith helps us endure trials; faith of friends can help others; faith shown in action.
