Model answer

(a) Joshua gathered all the tribes, elders, heads, judges and officers of Israel to Shechem (Joshua 24:1).
He recounted God's acts: calling Abraham from beyond the River, giving Isaac, Jacob and Esau (Joshua 24:2-4).
Sending Moses and Aaron, the plagues, the Exodus and the Red Sea (Joshua 24:5-7).
Victory over the Amorites, Balak and Balaam, and the people of Jericho (Joshua 24:8-11).
God gave them a land they had not laboured for, cities they had not built (Joshua 24:13).
"Fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity… put away the gods your fathers served" (Joshua 24:14).
"Choose this day whom you will serve… as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15).
The people promised to serve the Lord; Joshua warned God is holy and jealous and would punish unfaithfulness (Joshua 24:16-20).
They insisted; he made a covenant, wrote the words in the book of the law and set up a stone as witness (Joshua 24:21-27).
(b) Any two: faith in God; leading by example ("as for me and my house"); courage and honesty in warning them; wisdom in recalling history; ability to unite and persuade the people.

Explanation
