Show the model answer
(a) Christ died, was buried and rose on the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
He was seen by Cephas, the twelve, over 500 brethren, James, all the apostles and Paul (1 Corinthians 15:5-8).
If there is no resurrection, Christ has not been raised (1 Corinthians 15:13).
Then preaching and faith are in vain and the apostles are false witnesses (1 Corinthians 15:14-15).
Believers would still be in their sins and the dead in Christ perished (1 Corinthians 15:17-18).
Christians would be most to be pitied (1 Corinthians 15:19).
Christ is the first fruits; as in Adam all die, in Christ all are made alive (1 Corinthians 15:20-22).
Why would people be baptised for the dead or the apostles risk danger if the dead are not raised? (1 Corinthians 15:29-32).
A seed dies and rises as a new plant; the body is sown perishable and raised imperishable (1 Corinthians 15:36-44).
(b) Any three: assurance of eternal life; proof that Jesus is Son of God; forgiveness of sins confirmed; victory over death; hope and comfort; motivation to work for the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Outline 1 Corinthians 15, then three points.
