Model answer

(a) In the third year of the drought God told Elijah to show himself to Ahab, and He would send rain (1 Kings 18:1).
The famine was severe in Samaria (1 Kings 18:2).
Obadiah, over Ahab's household, feared the Lord greatly; he had hidden 100 prophets in caves and fed them when Jezebel killed the prophets (1 Kings 18:3-4).
Ahab and Obadiah divided the land to search for grass for the horses and mules (1 Kings 18:5-6).
Elijah met Obadiah; Obadiah recognised him and fell on his face (1 Kings 18:7).
Elijah said, "Go, tell your lord, 'Behold, Elijah is here'" (1 Kings 18:8).
Obadiah feared: Ahab had searched every nation for Elijah; if the Spirit carried Elijah away, Ahab would kill him (1 Kings 18:9-12).
He reminded Elijah how he had hidden the prophets (1 Kings 18:13-14).
Elijah swore he would show himself to Ahab that day; Obadiah went and told Ahab (1 Kings 18:15-16).
(b) Any two: one can serve God faithfully even in an ungodly government; courage to protect God's servants; God keeps a faithful remnant; trust God's servants' promises; God protects those who fear Him.

Explanation

Narrate 1 Kings 18:1-16, then two lessons.
