Show the model answer
(a) Believers come to Christ, the living stone, and are built into a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:4-5).
They are a holy priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus (1 Peter 2:5).
"You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people" (1 Peter 2:9).
Chosen race: chosen by God's grace, not by birth, to belong to Him.
Royal priesthood: every believer has direct access to God, serves Him, offers praise and prays for others.
Holy nation: set apart from the world to live holy lives (1 Peter 1:15-16).
Their purpose is to declare the wonderful deeds of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9).
Once they were no people, now God's people; once without mercy, now have mercy (1 Peter 2:10).
(b) Any two: praying and interceding for others; witnessing about Christ; living holy and honest lives; worship and praise; doing good works that glorify God (1 Peter 2:12); serving others with their gifts.
Explain 1 Peter 2:4-10, then two examples.
