Model answer

(a) When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place (Acts 2:1).
A sound like a rushing mighty wind filled the house (Acts 2:2).
Tongues as of fire rested on each of them (Acts 2:3).
They were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues (Acts 2:4).
Devout Jews from every nation heard them in their own languages and were amazed (Acts 2:5-12).
Some mocked: "They are filled with new wine" (Acts 2:13).
Peter said it was only nine in the morning; this was what Joel prophesied (Acts 2:14-21).
He preached Jesus crucified, raised and exalted, who poured out the Spirit (Acts 2:22-36).
Cut to the heart, the people asked what to do; Peter said, "Repent, and be baptized… and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:37-38).
About three thousand were added that day (Acts 2:41).
(b) Any two: gives boldness to witness; gives spiritual gifts; guides and teaches believers; convicts of sin; comforts and strengthens; produces the fruit of the Spirit; helps in prayer (Romans 8:26).

Explanation

Narrate Acts 2:1-41, then two ways.
