Model answer

(a) A man had two sons; the younger demanded his share of the property (Luke 15:11-12).
He went to a far country and squandered it in loose living (Luke 15:13).
When a famine came he fed pigs and longed for their pods (Luke 15:14-16).
He came to himself and decided to return and confess his sin (Luke 15:17-19).
The father saw him far off, ran, embraced and kissed him (Luke 15:20).
The father gave him the best robe, a ring, shoes and killed the fatted calf to celebrate (Luke 15:22-24).
The elder son, returning from the field, heard music and learnt why (Luke 15:25-27).
He was angry and refused to go in; his father came out and entreated him (Luke 15:28).
He complained he had served for years and never received a kid, but this son who devoured property with harlots got the fatted calf (Luke 15:29-30).
The father said, "Son, you are always with me… it was fitting to make merry" (Luke 15:31-32).
(b) Any three: anger; jealousy/envy; self-righteousness; unforgiving spirit; pride; lack of love for his brother; disrespect toward his father.
