JAMB Mathematics 2005 Question 26

Question 26

Angles and Polygons

The sum of the interior angles of a regular polygon is 1800°. Calculate the size of one exterior angle of the polygon.

  1. A.30°
  2. B.24°
  3. C.18°
  4. D.12°
Show the answer and explanation

Answer: A (30°)

Explanation

(n − 2) × 180 = 1800 gives n = 12, so each exterior angle is 360° ÷ 12 = 30°.
