Question 25

Mensuration of Plane Shapes

The diagonals of a rhombus are 12 cm and 5 cm. Calculate its perimeter.

  1. A.26 cm
  2. B.24 cm
  3. C.17 cm
  4. D.34 cm
Show the answer and explanation

Answer: A (26 cm)

Explanation

The diagonals bisect each other at right angles, so each side = √(62 + 2.52) = 6.5 cm. Perimeter = 4 × 6.5 = 26 cm.
