From a point R, 300 m north of P, man walks eastwards to a place Q which is 600 m from P. Find the bearing of P from Q, correct to the nearest degree.

Explanation

cos ∠RPQ = 300/600, so ∠RPQ = 60° and the bearing of Q from P is 060°. The bearing of P from Q is 060° + 180° = 240°.
