WAEC Mathematics 2000 Question 26

Question 26

Angles and Polygons

If the interior angles of a hexagon are 107°, 2x°, 150°, 95°, (2x − 15)° and 123°, find x.

  1. A.57½°
  2. B.65°
  3. C.106°
  4. D.120°
Show the answer and explanation

Answer: B (65°)

Explanation

Hexagon angles add to 720°: 475 + 4x − 15 = 720, so 4x = 260 and x = 65°.
