(a) A: package (outer carton); B: brand name/trade name; C: label; D: trademark/logo.
(b) Package (A), any three: protects the product from damage, dirt and weather; makes handling, storage and transport easy; attracts buyers and promotes the product; identifies the product; prevents tampering/adulteration.
(c) Label (C), any five, explained: tells the consumer the product's name and maker; lists ingredients/contents; gives directions for use and safety warnings; shows manufacturing and expiry dates; shows weight/quantity and price; shows regulatory number (NAFDAC/SON) as proof of approval; gives the maker's address for complaints.
Identify the parts first, then link each function to the consumer or product.
