(i) Apple barrel: Jim, inside it, overhears Silver plotting mutiny; warns the captain; turning point.
(ii) Spyglass: Silver's inn in Bristol; Jim recognises Black Dog there; also the hill on the island used to locate the treasure.
(iii) Black Spot: pirate summons/death sentence; given to Billy Bones by Pew, leading to his death; later given to Silver by mutineers.
