(a) Inland fishing: Lake Chad (Baga), Kainji Lake (New Bussa), the Niger and Benue rivers (Lokoja, Makurdi), Sokoto-Rima (Argungu); off-shore: the coastal waters off Lagos, Niger Delta (Warri, Port Harcourt, Calabar).
(b)(i) Nets (seine, cast, gill), hook and line, traps and baskets, trawling, harpoons, use of plant poisons.
(ii) Tilapia, catfish, mackerel, croaker, herring/bonga, shrimps, sardines, barracuda.
