(b) Electricity for homes and industries; cheaper than thermal power and renewable; reservoirs for irrigation, fishing and water supply; flood control; navigation; tourism; jobs.
(c) Low water level in the dry season reducing output; silting of reservoirs; high cost of dams and transmission lines; displacement of people; flat land with few good sites; poor maintenance and management; water weeds.
