Show the model answer
(a)(i) Business Reply Service: a firm licensed by the post office gives customers specially printed reply cards or envelopes; customers post them without stamps and the firm pays the postage (plus a fee) when they are delivered.
(ii) Express Delivery: for an extra fee, a letter or parcel is delivered faster than ordinary mail, by special messenger or priority handling.
(iii) Poste Restante: letters for travellers with no fixed address are addressed to the post office of the town and kept there until the addressee collects them with proof of identity.
(iv) Cash on Delivery: the post office delivers goods to the buyer, collects the price from him and remits it to the seller, less its charges.
(v) Recorded Delivery: the sender gets a certificate of posting and the addressee signs on receipt, giving proof of delivery (compensation is small).
(b) Importance (any five): links buyers and sellers; quick placing of orders and enquiries; aids advertising; speeds up business decisions and transactions; makes foreign trade easier; helps banking (transfers, payments); saves time and cost of travelling; helps management co-ordinate branches.
Explain how each service works, not just its name.
