He received Solomon's request for cedars from Lebanon and rejoiced, blessing God for David's wise son (1 Kings 5:6-7).
He agreed to supply cedar and cypress timber (1 Kings 5:8, 10).
His servants brought the timber down from Lebanon to the sea and floated it in rafts to the place Solomon chose (1 Kings 5:9).
He accepted wheat and oil yearly in return (1 Kings 5:11).
He made a treaty of peace with Solomon (1 Kings 5:12).
His builders and the Gebalites helped prepare timber and stone (1 Kings 5:18).
He sent Hiram the bronze-worker to make the pillars and vessels (1 Kings 7:13-14).
(b) Any three: peace and security; trade and investment; aid in emergencies; exchange of skills, education and technology; cultural exchange; influence in world affairs.
