(a) Nebuchadnezzar made a golden image on the plain of Dura (Daniel 3:1).
He commanded all to worship it at the sound of music, or be cast into a burning fiery furnace (Daniel 3:4-6).
Certain Chaldeans accused Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego of not serving his gods (Daniel 3:8-12).
In fury the king summoned them and gave them another chance, asking who could deliver them (Daniel 3:13-15).
They replied they had no need to answer: God was able to deliver them, but even if not they would not worship the image (Daniel 3:16-18).
They were thrown into the furnace heated seven times hotter; God delivered them (Daniel 3:19-27).
