Show the model answer
(a) Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution (1 Peter 2:13).
To the emperor as supreme, and to governors sent by him (1 Peter 2:13-14).
Governors punish wrongdoers and praise those who do right (1 Peter 2:14).
By doing right, silence the ignorance of foolish men (1 Peter 2:15).
Live as free men, not using freedom as a pretext for evil, but as servants of God (1 Peter 2:16).
Honour all men, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the emperor (1 Peter 2:17).
(b) Any three: it is God's will (1 Peter 2:15); authorities are instituted by God (Romans 13:1); they keep law and order; they punish evil and reward good; to avoid punishment and keep a clear conscience (Romans 13:5); to set a good example to unbelievers.
Outline 1 Peter 2:13-17, then three reasons.
