Model answer

(a)(i) Two criminals were crucified with Jesus, one on each side (Luke 23:32-33).
At first both reviled Him (Matthew 27:44).
One railed, "Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!" (Luke 23:39).
The other rebuked him: they were justly punished but this man had done nothing wrong (Luke 23:40-41).
He said, "Jesus, remember me when you come in your kingly power"; Jesus said, "Today you will be with me in Paradise" (Luke 23:42-43).
(ii) Joseph of Arimathea, a rich member of the council and a secret disciple who had not agreed with their decision (Matthew 27:57; Luke 23:50-51).
He went boldly to Pilate and asked for the body (Mark 15:43).
He took it down, wrapped it in clean linen and laid it in his own new rock tomb, rolling a stone to the door (Matthew 27:59-60).
(b) Any three: it is never too late to repent; salvation is by faith and grace; Christians should admit their sins; mockers will face judgement; Jesus forgives even the worst sinner; we have a choice to accept or reject Christ.
