Model answer

(a) God called Moses from the burning bush at Horeb and sent him to bring Israel out of Egypt (Exodus 3:1-10).
Moses said, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?"; God promised, "I will be with you" (Exodus 3:11-12).
He asked God's name; God said, "I AM WHO I AM", the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Exodus 3:13-15).
He objected that the people would not believe him; God gave him signs — the rod turned to a serpent, his hand made leprous and restored, and water turned to blood (Exodus 4:1-9).
He said he was slow of speech; God said He made man's mouth and would teach him (Exodus 4:10-12).
He asked God to send someone else; God was angry but appointed Aaron to speak for him (Exodus 4:13-16).
Moses then returned to Egypt with the rod of God (Exodus 4:18-20).
(b) Any three: fear of failure; lack of confidence; fear of criticism or danger; lack of skills or knowledge; laziness or lack of commitment; family or personal problems; corruption in the system.
