Show the model answer
(a) Lazarus of Bethany, brother of Mary and Martha, was ill; the sisters sent to Jesus (John 11:1-3).
Jesus stayed two more days, then said Lazarus had died and went to Bethany (John 11:6, 14-15).
Lazarus had been in the tomb four days; Martha met Jesus (John 11:17-20).
She said if He had been there her brother would not have died (John 11:21).
Jesus said, "Your brother will rise again… I am the resurrection and the life" (John 11:23-26).
Martha confessed Him as the Christ, the Son of God (John 11:27).
Mary came weeping; Jesus was deeply moved and wept (John 11:32-35).
At the tomb He ordered the stone removed, prayed to the Father, and cried, "Lazarus, come out" (John 11:39-43).
The dead man came out bound; Jesus said, "Unbind him, and let him go"; many believed (John 11:44-45).
(b) Any two: Jesus has power over death; believers will rise to eternal life; faith in Jesus is essential; Jesus shares our sorrow; Christians need not despair at death.
Narrate John 11, then two lessons.
