Show the model answer
(a) Paul praised the Macedonian churches, who in extreme poverty gave generously, beyond their means and of their own accord (2 Corinthians 8:1-4).
They first gave themselves to the Lord (2 Corinthians 8:5).
Christ is the example: though rich, He became poor so that we might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).
Giving is acceptable according to what one has, not what one does not have (2 Corinthians 8:12).
The aim is equality: present abundance should supply others' want (2 Corinthians 8:13-15).
He who sows sparingly reaps sparingly; he who sows bountifully reaps bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6).
Each should give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
God is able to provide every blessing so that givers abound in good works (2 Corinthians 9:8-11).
Giving supplies the needs of the saints and produces thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:12-15).
(b) Any two: giving money, food and clothing to the needy; visiting the sick, prisoners and the bereaved; supporting disaster victims; paying school fees for the poor; giving time and skills as volunteers; praying for and encouraging them.
Explain 2 Corinthians 8–9, then two practical ways.
